Because she has dragged herself out almost every day around the North West to campaign, she is very well known locally, and her win will have a fantastic motivational effect on all North West campaigns. I can safely say that she spend about 80% of her public appearances in tears. But at the same time, she was very strong and very determined.
Ziadah is a founder-member of Women Asylum Seekers Together and I have a good feeling that she will carry on having an active and supportive role.
We got the good news here at my house – we were on our way to London
when Ziadah got the call from her solicitor to say she’d been granted
status in the

UK. We were screaming for hours ! Even my next door
neighbours came over to see if anyone had been murdered !
I truly
believe that Ziadah definitely would not have been here without the
campaign”. Emma Ginn, NCADC.
Ziadah’s campaign included ; speaking at public meetings and demonstrations, a petition, and making a
“digital diaries” DVD .
Ziadah produced a
“scrap-book” which documented the progress of her
campaign – you may want to use this as a hand-out for anti-deportation
campaign workshops.
About Ziadah's campaign
